Memphis Wedding: R+R "Traditional Elegance"

One of the last party post that I shared with you was Rhonda's bridal shower.  This post I'm going to share with you her wedding.  Her husband actually came up with the idea for their wedding and Rhonda and I just ran with it.  Rod had the idea for something very traditional and timeless.  Rhonda wanted something beautiful, simple, and elegant-vintage.  I could not have asked for a more perfect couple!

The wedding turned out beautiful, but even more so was the love that these two share for each other-that's truly what makes a wedding beautiful!  We decided to stick with neutral tones of whites, creams and ivory mixed with romantic hughes of pinks and dusty rose.

What's the Cost?-Table Coverings

I thought it would be insightful to do a series on the cost for basic party items.  I find that for some the general cost to throw a party is a little bit of a sticker shock and others just really do not know where to start.  For this first installation, I chose table coverings because usually all parties will involve some type of table covering.  For Posh we always provide real linen table cloths.  It really does give a party that polished look.  

Below I listed different table covering options price based on a 40 person guest list (this seems to be the average guest count that I receive inquiries for) and a 150 guest wedding (about the average of an American wedding).  I always do an estimate based on 8 people at a table because that's standard for a 60 inch round or a 6 foot rectangle that most locations will have.

Memphis Bridal Shower: Breakfast at Tiffany's

I'm a sucker for a beautiful bridal shower.  It's just something just so southern and surreal.  I think women sitting around in a room with beautiful linens with a glass of sweet tea is just heaven!

This shower was for a former UT classmate that was hosted by one of my sorority sisters and her friend.  They requested a Tiffany's shower.  For a designer a Tiffany's shower is pretty much an endless playground.  So many interpretations can be done and this is just one of my takes on Tiffany's.  I have so many ideas for a Tiffany's shower twirling in my head and one day I hope to do them all.  I loved how this shower came together and just loved the elegant setting but simple.
