The BASH Conference Table Top Competition

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the first ever BASH conference. The BASH conference is the first conference ever geared specifically to party planners, event stylists, and party bloggers.

In addition to attending the conference, I was also selected as a finalist for the table top competition. I competed against 24 other talented ladies. The contest was judged by Michelle Burt of Maddy Cakes Muse, Eddie Ross from HGTV, and Jenn Sbranti with Hostess with the Mostess. These folks are literally pioneers  of the party world. Jenn was one of the very first party blogs that I ever followed and her site has so much inspiration.

The contest theme was Hollywood and the required colors were black, white and gold. We were basically given creative freedom to interrupt the theme as we saw fit. Within minutes of knowing the theme, I knew exactly knew what I wanted to do. I've been saying for years when I have my very own baby shower, I want it to be a Hollywood theme. I have even decided that the Orpheum Theater or the Peabody Hotel in Memphis would be perfect locations. Now that we are in Atlanta, I think the Fox Theater would be great too!

So out of the vision, came my design. It was absolutely incredible. I loved every last detail and there are so many details! I could see this design incorporated into a baby shower "Diva Baby" or "A Star is Born". For a bridal or wedding shower, "Vintage Glam" or "Preparing for the Main Event".

The main centerpiece was a 6ft tall feature that was backlit with spot lights.

These gorgeous fashion spandex chair covers were perfect for the Hollywood glam look!

Each table setting had custom made vanity mirrors with sayings such as "stunning", "gorgeous", and of course "posh". I also gave out these diva fans!

The other favor was this beautiful crystal perfume bottle with custom tag.

The center feature was a show stopper, but the flowers by me were my favorite detail! I love orchids and the feathers just gave it an extra Hollywood glam kick!

I always love adding fresh florals to bridal and baby showers, so a Hollywood diva party would have them too! These are gold mercury votives with fresh white carnations and accompanying black tulle.

And that's me with table in the background!

Atlanta Baby Showers: Vintage Jungle Safari

It's been a while since I've posted because I've been working on some very exciting things (blog posts to come on all of that). One of those is planning a new baby shower in Atlanta. I'm very excited about this one. We will definitely share all the details here on the blog but I wanted to start something new and share with you the Pinterest inspiration. Enjoy!
